Sevres Style Plate

This is a fun porcelain bowl made by Meissen around 1765. It is handpainted with a large floral arrangement in the center with three small flowers / leaves in the bowl part, three superb cartouches with floral designs on the rim surrounded by some nice gilding and a funky blue rim trim that somehow reminds me of Sevres - not sure why :) Gold trim to the edge. This is a really elegant and decorative piece and quite unusual to find. The piece is in great condition with a little wear to a spot or two. There are some ground spts in the white area of the bowl which were done at the factory to hide firing imperfections. It displays perfectly! The dish is 1 inch tall and 9.5 inches in diameter. Marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords with the dot between the bottom parts as well as an impressed L and a gold script painters mark on the footring. There are two leaves on the underside of the rim to hide imperfections. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
