Ecuelle Saucer

This is a nice early saucer likely for an ecuelle or soup cup made by Meissen in about 1750. The saucer is superbly handpainted with a pair of Watteau scenes including couples in a landscape surrounding as well as three floral arrangements in the woodcut flower style. Gold trim to the center well edge as well as the rim edge. The saucer is in perfect condition which is always nice! It is 1.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 7.125 inches and is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark as well as an impressed number 3.
