Scenic Potpourri w/Fruit on Lid

This is a really nice lidded potpourri vase made by Meissen in about 1750 . A nice early piece that has lots of molded detail to it including two handles. Lots of the detail is highlighted in pink, turquoise and gold. The lid has holes in it for the poutpourri and this amazing fruit and flower arrangement as the finial. My favorite part however is the superb scene to one side of the main body inclduing a couple in a landscape surrounding as well as a small child or doll to the side. The other side of the vase has a nice flower arrangement hand painted on it and there are a few small single flowers including two on the base. A really nice early example! It is in really nice condition with a small painted over flaw to one of the handles and some minor damage and repairs to the finial of the lid. The purple flowers in the middle have had some work done to them, one flower is missing between the two small yellow ones and there are some minor nibbles to the petals of another flower. A couple of firing flaws to the inside not visible when the lid is in place. None of this detracts form the piece and it looks stunning! The piece is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swordsmark as shown. It is just under 6.75 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and about 3.75 inches deep.
