Polychrome Floral Eye Bath

This is a very rare eye bath made by Meissen during the 18th century during the Marcolini period. It is hand painted with a polychrome floral arrangement to the front and the back of the main cup part, a single flower to the front and back of the stem or foot and some nice gold trim. These eye wash cups are very hard to find and never cheap whatsoever actually if you consider the size to price ratio these are probably some of the most expensive items out there. The eyebath is in perfect condition with some very minimal wear to the gilding on the top edge. The piece is 1.625 inches tall, 1.75 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep. The base has a diameter of just under 1.125 inches. It is marked underneath with the blue crossed swords mark with a star underneath as well as a red painter's mark. Somewhat faint but it is there - oftentimes these would have disappeared during the firing which is why later examples were marked on the side during the Marcolini period.
