Miniature Cockatoo Figurine

This is a cute miniature cockatoo bird figurine made by Meissen during the Pfeiffer period of the earlier 20th century. The bird is superbly modeled and hand painted to perfection! He is sitting on top of a small tree stump decorated with a bit of grass. This here is the orange version but I know a yellow one also exists. The parrot has a nice pose to it and is quite cute! Amazing how elegant these little pieces by Meissen are! The piece is in superb condition! There is a tiny stray green mark near his chest as shown. This is from it was made and might be on purpose since it is still a first choice figure and they would ahve marked it as a second otherwise. The figurine is marked underneath as shown with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the dot between the tops and the usual impressed marks of the period. The bird is just over 2.25 inches tall, 1.125 inches wide and about 1.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
