Canary Bird Figurine

This is a figurine of a yellow canary bird made by Meissen in the 20th century. It is nicely modeled and hand painted and a little more colorful and detailed than some of the others they made. This bird here looks backwards unlike many versions that look straight ahead. The bird is sitting on top of a tree stump that has a single elegant flower on the front and a leaf on the back as well as some grasses painted to the sides. The figure is in perfect condition! It is marked underneath with the under glazed blue crossed swords mark (1st choice) as well as the usual impressed numbers, etc. as well as a red 40 as the painter's mark as shown. The bird is 3.875 inches tall, 1.5 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
