Mid 18thC Rococo Vase

This is a really nice early vase made by Meissen in about 1750. As rococo as they come in terms of shape! The piece is nicely modeled with lots of scroll work to it highlighted with gilding with the main body and foot painted in this neat greyish blue color with a marbled look to it and gold vein details. A great looking piece! Not a model I have seen before and definitely not something you'll see again anytime soon. The vase is in superb condition with almost no gold wear at all. It has a glazed over firing spot on the inside. As nice as they come! The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as shown. Incised J or something along those lines. Does not appear to have a number so it might even be a touch older. It is 4.875 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
