Bird Scene Bowl

This is a serving dish / bowl made by Meissen in about 1760. A nicely made piece with a relief design to the rim broken up by four little bugs with four more along the edge of the well and a superb large bird scene in the center including two birds sitting in a tree with some greenery around them. Nice quality hand painting. Gold trim to the very edge. The piece is in superb condition with some minor wear and firing flaws as can be expected on these early pieces. It displays perfectly! The plate is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark on the underside as shown as well as an impressed number as shown. The bowl is 2.125 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter.
