Large Dog Figurine

This is a figurine of a dog made by Meissen around 1950. I do believe he is a sheep herding dog but I don't know the exact name of the breed. He is however very well modeled as if ready to go about its duties :) Nicely handpainted and wearing a blue and gold collar. The figurine is in perfect condition. The piece is marked with the blue swords underneath, the impressed number 131 with an upside down tear drop shaped mark behind it and the incised model number 967. The dog is 4.875 inches tall, 6 inches long and 3.5 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
