Gold & Cobalt Blue Dragon Pendant

This is a really nice round shaped necklace pendant made by Meissen in the 20th century. The center has a round porcelain medallion that is hand painted with that superb cobalt blue ground color with a super fancy gold dragon painted on it. That dark blue and gold color combo is stunning! What makes this a bit more special than most are the really fancy 14K gold mounts. One rarely ever seens gold mounts on these pieces! Nicer than all but one I have come across over the years. It looks very elegant! The porcelain piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue swords mark as shown - 1st quality and the gold is marked 585 on the part that the necklace goes through. The entire piece together is 0.125 inches thick and 1.25 inches in diameter - the necklace attachment part sticks out about 0.25 inches. It is in superb condition! Looks amazing!
