Car Dash Bud Vase

This is a fun piece - a vase made for the dashboard of a car. The piece was made by Meissen in the earlier 20th century (cannot quite see the mark to give a more exact date). Not a modern "new Beetle" edition redo but from when they were first made. The placement of the mark is different on the two versions with the modern ones being more prominet while here it is hidden under the attachment point. The vase has a nice conical shape to it and has a hand painted polychrome floral arrangement to the front and gold trim around the top. The metal mounts go around the thicker top part and come with a piece that slides off that you attach to the car and then the main mounts of the vase just slides into that. A nice design! Meant for a small bunch of flowers or just a single one. Some dried flowers would look amazing in it and would be fun to look at in the car. A mood lightener for sure! The porcelain vase part is in perfect condition but the metal mounts have an oxidated area to the front possibly where the silver coating has worn off and some oxidation in the back. The vase is 4.875 inches tall with the top opening being oval - 1.75 inches by 1.25 inches. The vase is marked underneath the spot where the mount attachments are. Hard to see but definitely first choice. A fun and hard to find treat! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
