Magpie Bird Figurine

This is a great bird figurine made by Meissen in the 20th century. It is a magpie bird . The figure is very well modeled with its colorful tail up in the air while sitting on a tree stump with some grasses painted on it and a flower to the front. Superbly hand painted with lots of detail! A very fragile piece and one sees them damaged at the beak or tail almost all the time so it is nice to see one without issues. The figurine is in superb condition. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) as well as the usual impressed numbers and a blue painter's mark 23 as shown. The piece is 7.875 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
