Early Strawflower Lid

This is a early lid made by Meissen in about 1740 or jsut a touch earlier. It is hand painted with their famous under glaze blue Strawflower design. Nice looking piece that is in good condition with a few tiny black spots in the glaze common to their early wares and a hairline from that tiny vent hole on top to the edge. Hard to spot and stable. A ribbed relief design to the paste on top. The lid has a diameter of 2.125 inches and is about 0.75 inches tall not including the foot ring underneath. That has an outer diameter of 1.625 inches which needs to fit inside the pot you want to use it for. Unmarked but that is normal. I also have the pot that this belongs to but it's so damaged that it makes more sense to have this lid available for a pot that is missing its lid. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $229
