Early Hausmalerei Scenic Teabowl Cup

This is a really nice and early teabowl shaped cup made before 1740. The porcelain was made by Meissen around 1730-35 and then later decorated by the famous shop of FJ Ferner around 1745. The piece is hand painted with an amzing all around scene including a lady - likley a shepherdess as well as a gentleman, some sheep and a tree that oddly looks like a palm tree which is quite unusual on German porcelain. Some other greenery in between and a rock on which the gentleman is sitting with a brown and green terrain underneath. Nice flower to the bottom inside. It one of the nicest pieces I have come across by him! The cup is in great condition with a tiny edge chip, flaking of the green on the terrain portaiion of the scene and there used to be a gold trim to the top inside which is gone. A firing crack to the underside which is why Ferner got to decorate it as he bought flawed pieces at a great discount and then decorated them. It displays perfectly and is an amazing looking specimen! The cup is 1.75 inches tall and 3.125 inches in diameter. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath - a nice and early version. No impressed number yet! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
