Cute Little Scenic Pill Box

This is a really cute little snuff / pill box made by Meissen in the early to mid 19th century. It is hand painted with scenes of everyday life all including people with their horses in a landscape surrounding. The scenes on the lid also have dogs in them and there is a bird in the outside scene of the lid. The scenes are superbly painted as one would expect from the top maker! There is a small floral arrangement to each side of the box. The mounts are made of Silver and are nicely decorated as shown. They are closing nicely. The box is in superb condition with a couple of small scratches to the top as shown though these are not obvious at all unless it is magnified as in the picture. It displays perfectly. The piece is not marked which is the norm but the quality and colors give it away as Meissen from this period. The piece is just under 1.25 inches tall, 1.5 inches deep and 1.875 inches wide.
