This is a figurine of a peasant girl from the Russian street trader series made by Meissen during the Pfeiffer period of the 20th century. The series is sometimes called the Cris de St. Petersburg - the Russian version of the Cris de Paris from France. First modeled by Peter Reinicke in the 18th century the figurine is of a lady golding a jug in each hand while wearing a long coat, a head scarf and standing on a white base with some flowers on it. A really well modeled and hand painted figurine. The figure is in perfect condition which is always a ncie bonus with porcelain!
