Cobalt Blue w/ Leaf Relief Dish

This is a nice large display plate / bowl / charger made by Meissen during the mid 19th century. Not the most exciting decoration ever but as my youngest said - it is really pretty. The dish is of a nice size and the cobalt blue ground color with the relief leaf design highlighted with gilding looks stunning. Sometimes simpler is better! The plate has a ring of relief leaves around the rim that are alternated in terms of decoration. One set is mostly white with just some gold veins while the other set is mostly gilded. That on the blue background really does look pretty. The piece is in good condition with some wear to the gilding though not bad at all and it displays nicely! It is a great size for being able to use it being 2.25 inches tall and having a diameter of 11.875 inches. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue swords mark (first choice) as well as an incised model number and an impressed number as shown plus the blue painter's number. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
