Chinese Butterfly Thimble

This is a cute thimble made by Meissen in the alter 20th century. I ahve always liked a variety of the smaller porcelain items and really liked the Chinese butterfly pattern of this example so I snapped it up when I saw it. A nice example of a great maker that takes up very little room when on display! The piece is hand painted with the Butterfly surrounded by some Kakiemon flowers with a small single flower to the other side. Gold trim along the bottom edge. The top has the rough unglazed dimpled surface on it typical of thimbles. The piece is marked on the inside with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as some red numbers as shown. It is in perfect condition. The thimble is 0.875 inches tall and 0.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
