Cherub Scene & Puce Scale Trim Saucer #2

This is a superb saucer made by Meissen in about 1750. It is hand painted with a nice scene in the center of two cherubs / putti frolicking in the clouds but my favorite part is the superb puce scale type trim to the rim with some gilding and a nice scroll work along the bottom edges of the trim. A couple of flowers along the bottom edge of the trim as well. One of the best trims they had and with the quality of the scene this would have been a top piece for this period. Sadly no cup though - but one never knows! The saucer are in perfect condition with some very minor wear to the very edge. It is about 1.25 inches tall and 5.375 inches in diameter and is marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark as well as a gilders mark 80. Oddly no impressed number which would normally mean it was made before 1740 but there is a V as shown and it might just be a bad imprint of a 4 or something.
