Blue Onion Trivet

This is a hard to find trivet / hotplate / teapot undertray made by Meissen in the late 19th or early 20th century. This example here is round and sits on three feet. It is decorated with their famous blue onion design in under glaze blue with the crossed swords mark in the bottom of the stalk. The piece is in superb condition with some minor use marks. No chips, erstorations, etc. The underside is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark, the typical impressed marks and a blue painter's mark as shown. The trivet is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 5.75 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
