Lady Farmer Figurine

This is large and superb blanc de chine figurine made by Meissen in the mid 20th century. First modeled by Elfriede Reichel-Drechsler in 1958, there are two explanations of what this figure is supposed to represent. Not sure why! One is that she is a young farmer lady holding a bowl in her right hand, head scarf over her head and a jug behind her. The other is that she is a female ceramic worker. I think the farmer explanation seems more suitable! Either way a nicely modeled piece in the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil taste. Simple lines but the figure looks amazing! The figurine is in perfect condition! It is 12.75 inches tall, 3.25 inches long and 3 inches deep. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) underneath the base as well as an impressed swords with Weiss under it showing she was meant to only be unpainted, model number H 237 and some other incised marks as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
