Old Plate w/Meissen Marks

This is a fun plate for the Meissen enthusiast made by Meissen during the mid 20th century. An earlier version of this design where the marks were still hand painted instead of the later Aquatinta pieces one finds more easily. It is hand painted with most of the different style of crossed swords marks they used over their 200 plus years of existence. Most often these were made for dealers as display signs but they have entered the secondary market by now which is nice for us collector nuts :) It has the AR Augustus Rex mark up top, the caduceus style mark, the early KPM mark before KPM became a separate maker in Berlin and then many different other marks used over time. The latest being the one used after 1934. All in under glaze blue which looks great on the simple white plate. The piece is in superb condition which is always a plus! The dish is marked underneath with the under glaze blue swords mark (first choice!) as well as the usual impressed marks and numbers, etc. as shown. The plate has a nice size being 1.125 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
