A-Kante Demitasse Cup & Saucer

This is a mocha or espresso coffee demitasse cup and saucer made by Meissen in the 20th century. Both pieces are from the so called A_Kante series which refers to the nice cobalt blue ring with gold trim around the rims. Each piece is hand painted with a nice polychrome floral arrangement as well as a little single flower and a small floral arrangement. The edges of the peices have a nice shape to them and the handle of the cup is superb as well. This size cup is not easy to find and I like them better than regular sized pieces since they take up less room in the cabinets. The set is in perfect condition which never hurts either :) It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath (first quality) as well as the usual impressed and painted marks one expects from pieces of this period as shown. The cup is 2 inches tall and 2.625 inches in diameter. The saucer is just over 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 4.375 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
