ABC Saucer

This is a fun saucer made by Meissen in the late 18th century. I have never seen another like it! The center has a cobalt blue area in it with the ABC in gold letters on that and in the center a circle with the French words Mon Nom Siy (not sure about the second letter!) Trouve. Not sure exactly what that means either as my French isn't that good. Nice dotted gold trim around the well and a fun gold trim to the top edge of the rim. The saucer is marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords underneath with the star of the Marcolini period as well as a painter's mark and some blue mark on the footring. The piece is in great condition with a bit of wear to the gold ring around the well and the thin gold band around the center design. An almost chip to the underside footring where it must have gotten knocked at some point but it never came off. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
