Octagonal Woodcut Flowers Saucer

This is an early and superb saucer made by Meissen in about 1740. A very rare shape to find! The dish has an octagonal shape to it and it is hand painted with a superb larger flower in the center as well as four more flowers and leaf - right above the central flower likely to cover up some sort of flaw to the paste. The flowers are in the woodcut style of around 1740. . The flowers are of a very nice quality. Brown trim to the edge. A very elegant looking example! The saucer is in great condition with a minor touch of wear as shown - it displays perfectly! The dish is 1.25 inches tall and 5.375 inches in diameter. The piece is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as an impressed number which surprised me a bit as I thought it might be a touch earlier but this dates it to right around 1740.
