Blue Onion Pot de Creme

This is a lidded cup / pot au jus / pot de creme / hot chocolate / custard cup made by Meissen in about 1760. Not an easy thing to find anymore these days. It is still decorated with that nice deep blue that sinks into the porcelain a bit. Just lovely! Plus having the original lid is a big bonus! The set is decorated with their famous blue onion design with a bit of blue trim to the handle and a nice finial. The lid is in perfect condition while the main body has a small chip to the inside of the udnerside ring that barely shows on the outside as shown. They display perfectly and look amazing! The set is 2.875inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. The cup is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the dot between the bottom ends as shown as well as a blue painter's mark and an impressed number.
