Amazing Dragon Spout Spittoon

This is a very rare, fun and interesting piece made by Meissen in the mid 18th century around 1765. It is a spittoon / cuspidor but unlike any other I have ever seen. The main body ahs the typical shape to it with the flared rim and bottom catch but it has a handle on one side that acts as a spout to empty it out. The end of that spout has a dragon head to it that is just superb! Perfectly modeled and hand painted. The rest of the handle has a nice shape to it with some relief deocation with pink and gold highlights. The main body has four large floral arrangements to it as well as six smaller single flowers - three of the on the underside edge and a gold trim to the edge. The piece is in superb condition with just a touch of wear to the gilding around the edge. A fun piece to looks at and a great conversation starter. Great for the person that collects medical pieces or even chamber pots as well I think. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the dots between the bottom parts as shown. The spittoon is 3.75 inches tall with a top diameter of 6 inches and the spout / handle sticks out about 2 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
