Fruit Scene Cup & Saucer

This is a superb early cup and saucer set made by Meissen in about 1750. They are handpainted with some superb fruit and berries as well as bugs abd a large butterfly on each. Huge bug on the inside bottom of the cup as well! The quality and detail is incredible! They have a nice basket weave design to the rim area with a gold trim to the edge. The cup and saucer are in good condition with a hard to spot small flat inside rim chip on the saucer and one just as small on the outside rim of the cup. Neither one is easy to spot! A small chip to the footring of the cup. They display perfectly! Both have a bit of wear mostly to the gold trim of the cup and three spots of flaking to the lemon paint. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3.375 inches in diameter. The saucer is about 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Both are marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as an impressed 53 on the saucer and 4 on the cup. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
