Trembleuse Saucer #2

This is a rare early trembleuse saucer made by Meissen in about 1740. It is hand painted with one larger floral arrangement, one smaller one as well as three single flowers and a leaf to cover up a firing flaw. Gold trim to the edges. What makes it rare it has the extra part in the center to help keep the cup in place for older people whose hands were a bit shaky. This one would have had a beaker shaped cup with it. The center part has a nice cut out design and even the in between spaces have a design to the paste. The saucer is marked with the straight blue crossed swords underneath as shown. No impressed number yet and the flowers are still in the wood cut style so a nice early example! The piece is in superb condition same as the day it was made except for a small flat chip to the inside of the foot ring that has no meaning. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and has a diameter of 4.875 inches. The center part stick up another half inch and has a diameter of 1.875 inches on the inside.
