Lynton Stefan Nowacki Ship Scene Cup & Saucer

This is a really nice cup and saucer made by Lynton in the Derbyshire area of England in the 1980s. I could not find much about this maker but sadly they are not around anymore. The painter Stefan Nowacki, who painted this cup here was originally a painter at Derby but then left and started Lynton. He made some really awesome pieces but they are fairly rare now in the Derby style. This piece here is one of those highly sought after shipping scene design cups. There is a merchantile schooner anchored in a harbor in the center with another ship in the background. Some fancy gilding surrounds the scene some of which is raised. the rest of the cup has a light and dark blue ground color design with lots of gold trim to it. The saucer matches that same design. Gilded handle to the cup. The set is in perfect condition. The scene is signed in red on the bottom part as shown by Stefan Nowacki. Both pieces are marked with the gold script letter L with Lynton Porcelain Companya round that, the gold monogram for Stefan Nowacki as well as some artist initials! The saucer is 0.625 inches tall and just under 5.5 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
