Wheat Farmer Figurine

This is a figurine made by Ludwigsburg in about 1770. It is marked with the CC mark under a crown in underglaze blue as shown. The figure is of a farmer grain seller lady with some grain in wooden containers wearing some nice clothing while standing on a typical base with some spilled grain and scroll work highlighted with gilding. gentleman with a muff wearing a fur coat and a hat. A superbly modeled and painted piece and very typical for their figurines! The piece is 4.875 inches tall, 2.15 inches wide and 2.125 inches deep. The figurine displays well but has some damage as she was broken in half at the waiste which is almost impossible to spot were it not for the damage to the wrist of the visible hand. One braid is also partially missing in the back and a very minor chip to one of the wooden containers. A hairline to the base with a minor chip to the udnerside edge as shown. Still a really really nice piece and like I said she displays wonderfully! Please email me for more information or photos.
