Sugar Caster

This is a very rare sugar shaker / caster / muffineer made by Ludwigsburg in the 18th century. It is nicely modeled with the openings in the top and lots of designs to the paste and hand painted with flowers all around. It even still has the original screw in stopper underneath. One almost never sees stuff like that! This piece does have a very decorative shape. It is in great condition with a chip to the bottom edge as shown. The piece is marked with the under glaze blue interlaced double C mark under a crown to the underside as shown. The sugar caster is 5.5 inches tall and 2.25 inches in diameter.
