Shepherd Couple Figurine

This is a figurine made by Ludwigsburg made between 1759 and 1770 and is marked with the crown over CC mark in underglaze blue as shown. The figure is of a shepherd and shepherdess with their sheep and dog. He is holding a bagpipe and pouring her a glass of wine. Must have been a rough life :) A superbly modeled and painted piece especially him! The figure is 4.75 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 2.875 inches deep. The figurine is in excellent condition with two minor chips to his hat, some damage to the puce bows on his hat, the bagpipe end has been chipped off and he has a manufacturing crack in his right leg.
