Oval Scenic Dish

This is an oval serving dish made by Ludwigsburg around 1780. It is handpainted with a superb scene in the center of a landscape witha building in it and a hiker and it has some nice trim under the scene in puce, blue, green and gold. The rim has a basketweave design to it called the Osier relief with some hand painted small flowers on it and a nice gold edge. These scenic pieces are just superb and are among my favorite pieces. The plate is marked with the CC mark in under glaze blue and an impressed 6 (or 9) on the footring and an i by the foot ring. The plate is 1.375 inches tall, 9 inches wide and 7.75 inches deep. It is in perfect condition with the usual small firing flaws from the making. Please email me for more information or photos.
