Scenic Cup with Blue & Gold Trim #1

This is a superb cup and saucer set made by Ludwigsburg around 1775. The set is hand painted with a very high quality scene in the center of the saucer as well as the front of the cup including buildings / ruins, people and the usual landscapes but my favorite part is the unusual blue and gold highlighted trim to the edge on top of the basket weave raised design to the paste. I have not seen that before and it is rather nice! Two small gold leaves along the sides of the cup and another one on the inside of the cup. Nice handle shape also highlighted with gold. Both pieces are marked with the CC under a crown mark as shown. The cup is 1.75 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter.
