Scenic Plate

This is a plate made by Ludwigsburg between 1759 and 1770 and is marked with the CC mark under the crown in underglaze blue. Impressed letters PNB and I as well as number 6. The plate is just over 1 inch tall and 9.5 inches in diameter. It is handpainted with a superb scene in the center and flowers on the basketweave rim called the Osier relief decor typical of that period. Gold trim. It is in good condition but not perfect. The gold trim has worn, there are two small chips and one nibble to the back rim and the footring has some chips. The plate does display superbly though!
