French ? Plate

This is an interesting plate made by Ludwigsburg around 1810. Looking at the piece I would have said it is French as compared to other pieces I own by this maker. However it is marked with their over glaze red mark which is correct. The only way I can explain this is that after 1797 the manufactory was supported by King Friedrich I of Wuerttemberg who had them switch the porcelain clay from the usual grey stuff they got from Alpirsbach to a source in France and also had workers from France brought in to help the factory. They probably brought their own styles, etc. along. Definitely an intersting piece and I wish I knew more about it but that is the only way I can explain it. The plate is hand painted with three floral arrangements as well as three smaller flowers and a gold trim along the edge. The plate is marked with the over glaze red FR under a crown mark as shown and has three stilt marks from the firing process to the underside. The piece is 1.125 inches tall and 9.25 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with on scratch across the red tulip and a small chip to the foot ring. Please email me for more information or photos.
