Oettner Painted Tea Pot

This is a fun teapot made by Ludwigsburg in the 18th century. It is hand painted with two polychrome scenes - one of a lady dancing in front of a column in a landcape surrounding and the other of a gentleman standing in front of a column in a landscape surrounding. I guess not much has changed in the last 250 years :) A few small single flwoers scattered about and a nice rust color trim to the top rim around the lid opening and along the side of the handle. The figural apout has a puce trim to it as does the top of the handle. What makes this tea pot special is the fact that is was painted by the famous Andreas Philipp Oettner which is pretty neat. The pot is marked underneath with the under glaze blue CC under the crown as well as some impressed marks as shown. The pot is just under 3.5 inches tall, 6.875 inches from handle to spout and about 4 inches in diameter. The piece is in superb condition but sadly it is lacking its lid! There is a little bit of expected wear but the scenes are not affected! Please email me for more information or photos.
