Floral Lidded Sugar Bowl

This is a great lidded sugar dish made by Ludwigsburg in the 18th century. The piece is nicely hand painted with two large floral arrangements as well as lots of single flowers and leaves on the main bowl and a floral arrangement with some single flowers on the lid. Nice fruit finial on the lid. Both pieces have a basket weave relief design to the rims and a reddish brown trim to the edges. The main body is marked with the CC mark under the crown in under glaze blue as well as the usual impressed marks and even a painter's mark as shown. The entire dish with the lid in place is about 4.25 inches tall and just under 4 inches in diameter. It is in great condition except for the leaves of the finial on the lid are damaged quite a bit as shown. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $449
