Bird Scene Cup & Saucer #1

This is a teabowl shaped cup and saucer made by Ludwigsburg in the 18th century. Both pieces are hand painted with a nice bird scene. One in the center of the saucer and one to the front of the cup. The rim of each has a basket weave design to it quite typical of Ludwigsburg. There are 6 really nice bugs to the saucer and five including the one in the bottom to the cup. I love these bugs and the combination of those and the bird scenes are stunning! The edges used to ahve a gold trim but that is mostly worn away now. The saucer is marked with the CC mark in underglaze blue as well as two impressed numbers as shown while the cup is not marked except for an impressed 1 or something along those lines. The cup 1.75 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The set is in good condition with the already mentioned gold wear and a small cip to the edge of the cup as shown as well as a tiny one to the inside foot ring. They display very well! Please email me for more information or photos.
