Longton Hall Leaf Dish

This is a rare leaf dish made by Lonton Hall in the 1750's. It is made of softpaste porcelain and handpainted very much in the Chelsea style. Longton Hall was started around 1750 and was closed somewhere around 1759. Even though they only existed for a few years they actually made a decent amount of pieces and have a nice collectors following. Finding a piece today is extremely rare! The dish is handpainted with leaves on relief decoration and two floral arrangements in the center. Also three pansies or violets that are in relief decoration and painted. Nice branch handle. The piece is unmarked which is common for their softpaste porcelain dishes. It is in pretty good condition but the side with the handle has a bunch of overpainting which makes it hard to tell what is wrong. It seems like a chunk on either side where the handle attaches is redone and possible a part of the handle itself though it is almost too well done to be restored. Other than that it is in superb condition - no chips and really no wear for it being this old. The leaf is 2.25 inches tall including the handle, 8 inches wide and 8.75 inches long.
