Locre Biscuit Couple w/Pets Figurine

This is a nice figurine made by La Courtille of France around 1780. The factory was also called Rue de la Fontaine-au-Roi or Locre . The figurine is made of unglazed or biscuit porcelain and is of a couple with their pets standing under a tree on a typical rock base with some greenery and the base rim underneath. Both are wearing a nice hat with the gentleman holding a dog in his arms while the lady is petting the dog that has its paws on her skirt. The figure is not marked underneath but this is a typical piece for this maker and this type of base gives it away easily. The figurin is in great condition with obviously some damage to the leaves but no other issues so in better shape than most one comes across. All in all a superb example! The figurine is 7.75 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
