Liverpool Bird Scene Cream Jug

This is a really nice creamer / milk / cream jug made by one of the Liverpool area makers in the 18th century. In this case it was made by Seth Pennington in about 1780. The sparrow beak pitcher has a baluster body and is hand painted with a superb polychrome enamel bird scene including a bird of paradise on a branch of some sort - likely meant to be a prunus branch. Tiny black birds flying in the distance and a typical and very nice red trim to the inside rim. An unusual under glaze blue trim to the outside top rim. The piece is in great condition with a teeny nibble to the very tip of the spout. The creamer is not marked which is the norm! It is 3.25 inches tall with a diameter of about 2.5 inches. Really nice piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
