Liverpool Chinoiserie Cup

This is a rare teabowl made by Seth Pennington of Liverpool in about 1780. It is handpainted with a superb Chinoiserie scene of two figures with a tree, a bush and a rock, some grass and a fence (?) in the background. The colors are strong and the detail superb one of the top English makers if you ask me. It is in great condition with some tiny hairlines from the making on the top rim and four tiny nibbles to the top rim. The cup is unmarked which is the norm! It is 1.75 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
