Liverpool Chinoiserie Cup & Saucer #2

This is a nice cup and saucer made by one of the Liverpool area makers in the 18th century. In this case I believe it was made by Seth Pennington in about 1780. The porcelain is super thin and delicate and the glaze has a bluish tint to it! The set is hand painted with a superb polychrome enamel Chinoiserie scene of two figures with a tree in the center and a bridge and some some grasses in the background. Typical and very nice red trim to the inside rim. The cup also has a flower to the inside though that is almost worn away now. The cup & saucer are in great condition with a little wear, a tiny chip to the outside edge of the saucer and a slightly less tiny chip to the top edge of the cup. Small inclusion to the outside edge o the cup as well. Displays perfectly! Neither piece is marked which is the norm! The tea bowl is just over 2 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is just under 1.125 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. A really nice set in great condition! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
