Liverpool Philip Christian Sauceboat

This is a rather rare suace boat / gravy dish made by one of the Liverpool companies to be more specific Philip Christian and Co. around 1770. A really nice piece by a rare maker that is hand painted with Chinoiserie scenes on either side as well as flowers to the inside and the front. The painting is of superb quality and the paste itself has some nice relief designs to it as well. Puce trim to the handle. The sauce dish is in superb condition with some firing flaws typical to these wares as well as three minor chips to the top edge as shown. The piece is unmarked which is the norm. It is just over 2.75 inches tall at the handle, 2.625 inches wide and 5 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
