Limbach Polychrome Coffee Pot

This is a coffee pot made by Limbach about 1775. It is hand painted with a nice polychrome floral arrangement on both sides, a smaller single flower to the front and by the handle, has some nice relief design all around with a matching relief design to the lid and two smaller flowers to the lid as well as a flower finial. Typical handle shape which gives this maker away fairly easily. The main pot is marked with an under glaze blue crossed L mark with a dot meants to imitate the Meissen crossed swords mark. The piece is in great condition with a small chip to the lid edge, some chipping to the flower of the finial as well as a missing stem and chip to the rest of the finial and a hairline through the bottom terminal of the handle which is a fairly common issue on early pieces like this. Some small black firing spots througout. The piece displays nicely! The coffee pot is 7.75 inches tall, 5.75 inches from spout to the handle and about 4 inches in diameter.
