Copenhagen Leg Shape Needle Case #2

This is a rare hollow porcelain leg made for use as a needle case most likely by Royal Copenhagen and definitely in the 18th century. I looked around for quite a while and this maker is the closest I could find to match this piece though the ends of the bow are a little longer on my piece here. The piece has a nicely done silver lid. These legs are called Flohbein in German since theirs often have a little flea was painted on them as a joke but this is not the case here. It is however very nicely modeld with an orange bow just below the green pants that have bunched up a bit and the bottom is a nice high heel shoe that is hand painted perfectly in black with a gold buckle and brown sole. Just a really nice piece that is hard to find again for sure. It is not marked but I am fairly certain it is by them especially since the silver mounts are decorated with a wavy line design as shown. The piece is in superb condition with a touch of wear and the lid does not snap into place and stays open just a touch plus a touch of oxidation. The leg is about 4 inches tall so much larger than the German versions with a top idameter of 0.875 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
