La Courtille Biscuit Figurine

This is a figurine made by La Courtille of France around 1780. The factory was also called Rue de la Fontaine au Roi or Locre . The figurine is made of unglazed or biscuit porcelain and is of a couple dressed in their Sunday's best standing on a typical rock base with some greenery and the base rim underneath. The gentleman is wearing a nice hat with feathers coming out the top and is playing a flute. The lady is also wearing a nice hat and and is holding what look to be castanets in her hands to play some music along with him laying the fute. The piece is marked underneath with their incised crossed torch mark as well as an incised monogram or letter but I am unsure what that is meant to be. The figure displays superbly but has a few minor damages - her hat has had a piece chip off which was reglued except for a small piece that is missing, the bow on her front shoe is missing, he is missing the pinky off his right hand and her wrist of the left arm was broken and repaired. Some minor issues to the bows and smaller parts but the piece displays perfectly and is rather nice! The figurine is 7.125 inches tall and the base has a diameter of about 3 inches with the rocks coming out a bit further. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
