Yellow Ground Art Nouveau Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cup and saucer made by KPM in the early 20th century during WWI at the end of the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period. Both pieces have a yellow ground color with a black diamond on darker yellow trim to the edge. Superb handle design highlighted with a black and darker yellow design. The cup sits on four feet which makes it very elegant! Not something you see often at all. The set is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark as well as the red orb and various painted and impressed marks as well as the iron cross of the WWI period. Both pieces are in perfect condition. The cup is just 2.125 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.5 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter.
